I live far away but might be interested in answering questions that you have. I have never been a part of any web based stuttering forum or subreddit before, this is literally the first time I've made an account just to talk about my problem. I would love to be introduced to new communities, but in reality I hope this subreddit grows and I can grow with it also. I am very tight lipped when it comes to talking or talking about my speech problem, but it probably will help a lot just to put myself out there. It has caused a host of problems in my life, and from what I've read, speech therapists cannot fix adults with speech problems. Supposedly it "ends" at a certain age, because the adult is so well trained to what they know how to do that they cannot change. I think this is untrue, and I would love to visit a therapist (both kinds!) and deal with mental and social issues all in one. You can send me a message if you want, it's up to you.
