Reading out loud never was a problem for me. In my case, if I say a word fast enough (before I realize that I usually get stuck at this word) I don't stutter at all. Same thing when I have to repeat something. The first it comes out of my mouth is fluent, and if I have to repeat, sometimes I get stuck. My solution to my sutter problem is not think about it and say it without thinking about the phrase I'm going to say. I did presentations en masse in highschool, and never stuttered, because all was improvised. So when I'm drunk, phrases just come out of my mouth without overthinking if it's appropriate or not, and it's such a great feeling.
