I get what you're saying and 100% agree, and I've not let my stutter define me and I've achieved a lot, university, traveling, friends, job etc but there is some stuff where fluent speech is pretty essential, like meeting suppliers at work, trying to make a sales pitch, public speaking all things I'd like to do but with a stutter me personally am not able to say what I want to say exactly how because my sole focus is trying to get the words out, any words. It won't be as punchy, convincing etc And yes most of my experiences with people is fine obviously the odd exception, but even with good reactions and they don't care, I care and if still rather be able to say what I want when I want, so that respect still a big deal
