Aww so nice to hear! I always think about making my listener more comfortable. People don't encounter someone who stutter very often and are unsure how to react. I sometimes joke to put them at ease.. Stuff like "I'm fluent after a few drinks, but then I won't shut up and blab on and on, trust me you'd rather hear me stutter! " or "I'm fluent when I sing but can't carry a tune, I won't subject you that!" or "Yeah I stutter, have all my life, as long as you don't bring up Porky Pig or break into Elton John's B-B-Bennie and the Jets, we'll get along fine" Some have asked if its better to jump in if they're pretty sure they know what I'm trying to say when I'm in a block, and I usually say something like, please wait..unless I'm turning blue in the face, then, by all means, jump in! I find it helps a lot if you are open about it and help people feel at ease conversing with you. I had a neighbour who lost his hearing in his late teens from an accident. He doesn't know sign but reads lips. We would laugh so hard when he tried to read mine we almost peed our pants! Our conversations were hilariousđŸ¤£
