Insurance coverage for stuttering

Insurance coverage for stuttering Hey friends, I am looking around for a good speech therapist who I can work with on my stuttering. One of the biggest barriers to started therapy however has been its prohibitive cost (between $140-$200/hour where I live). I have health insurance (Kaiser HMO) through my employer and I was hoping to at least have part of the cost reimbursed. Have any of you have had experience with getting your therapy cost reimbursed by your insurance provider? If so, what did you do that helped with the reimbursement? Also I live in the California - so if you have worked with any therapist who has helped you with your stuttering, please do share their name and contact info! I am open to tele-therapy options as well.
