Remember the most famous idiom in stutter:Stutter is 'trying not to stutter". For me,I was abnormal compared to normal people in my mental activities during my speeches cuz I couldn't get control of reducing anxieties before the speeches and as the repetitions become of me. As for physiological differences, you can't tackle them but no linguistic pathologists are deeming stutter as an irreversible disorder cuz it doesn't resemble limb amputations or physical deaths at all.(You can figure out what I meant by this statement step by step)And my past posts have introduced some of my personal experiences and techniques to reduce and even eliminate stutter.
