I know I inherited my stutter from my dad. My mom once played me a recording of me when I was a toddler stuttering through a nursery rhyme. However, I do believe the trauma of having to speak on my elementary school's closed circuit morning TV show (as per the advice of my speech therapist at the time) scarred me for a long, long time after and reinforced bad attitudes and all that. Now that I'm older, I'm really okay.
