i have a 13 year old daughter and she stutters.(got it from me i think). i think expecting her stutter to get better doesn't really help her and us. don't get upset when she doesn't practice drills therapist gave her. if you give too much emphasis on drills and therapy, she might feel that she got something wrong with her. Don't assume she might be bothered by her speech but doesn't talk to you about it. Just try to be her parent. Be emotionally supportive when she needs it. Talk openly about stutter but don't push the conversation about stuttering. Attending events like FRIENDS was good i think, my daughter enjoyed it.
