I agree with your analysis. What I'm wondering about is why it will always be there at it's core since a lot of people do self-cure overtime. If we we look at it from a perspective of neuroplasticity, wouldn't we be able to rewire our brain to find neural pathways (using some of the speech tools you mentioned) until the old pathway that's affected by the mis-timing of neurotransmitter signals "fades" to the background or is "unlearned" by disuse?
