How do you guys (and girls) approaching someone? Hi everyone, I'm 17 y/o with a mild to moderate stutter. In the past, stuttering was a huge social barrier for me, but for the past couple of years, I started to go out more and started to make new friends. I had one girlfriend that a good friend of mine set us up, but we broke up like a year ago. Although that, I was always stressed to approach a total stranger and to just start a conversation and introduce myself (when saying my name is the most stressful thing in the world to me), especially if that's someone that I'm attracted to. For the past two months, I have had a crush on someone from the gym I'm going to. I can not recall how many times I wanted to just go and talk to her, but the stutter was the excuse not to do that. I was wondering if you have some tricks or advice for me on how to overcome that fear? Thanks everyone in advance, and I wish you all a wonderful day :)
