I think once he saw that it wasn't something within my control he felt pretty shitty. It wasn't my intention, and at least he has shown remorse for it (unlike other people I've encountered). I was just putting on a tough face this entire time, when in reality I could have addressed it earlier. I think after talking with him he gets that I am pretty self conscious about it and he gets the picture now. I just wish I would have said something sooner :-/
