Something That Might Help Your Stutter I was talking to some of my friends in a group chat because I was worried about an upcoming event where I would have to talk in front of lots of people. We started to then talk about things that may help me to not stutter, just the basics; take a deep breathe, calm down, relax, etc. Then my friend said something that was funny at first, but then made sense: a rubber band. Wear a rubber band on your wrist and whenever you get caught in a block snap it and it'll get you out of it because of the shock. I don't know if this will work, it's just a theory at this point, but maybe if you train yourself to expect pain when you stutter; you won't stutter at all? I have no idea if this sounds stupid or not, but it makes sense to me and someone else in a group chat I'm in so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. What do you guys think? Also, imagine if you're in public and you start to stutter so you snap yourself and go, "sorry guys, whenever I stutter I snap myself so I'll stop lol", people will be laughing with you instead of at you.
