My daughter does not have a stutter. I was terrified that she would because I never want her to go through what I did. I do have her in speech therapy because she had minor issues pronouncing certain words and it has helped her enunciate clearly. Her fluency is hugely important to me but I am very careful to not let her see how much I care about her speech. It’s my trauma, not hers.
