My identical Twin does not stutter but I do, can stuttering be genetic? Also, a little rant about stuttering, be nice to hear from others! :) I have a stammer and my identical twin does not. Would this mean that stuttering is a development condition rather than a genetic one? Side note- I think I handle my stutter well but always felt it was unfair that I have one and he does not. Because it can really bring you down and the feeling to be normal has always been there. Although, the desire to prove I would not be anti-social because if my stammer has made me very outgoing and allowed me to travel around a lot and meet a lot of great people, almost like a fuck you to stuttering. But that feeling when you cannot even answer a phone when you have a degree is kind of frustrating. I digress, Happy to meet you all I am new to Reddit :)
