I just had a court case when I was the plaintiff. February 16-19th. My lawyer had to ask prior to my testimony if I have a stutter, does being nervous make me stutter. I said yes to both under oath. Was I embarrassed? No. Did I have anxiety? Yes. I only had 4-5 instances where I really stammered and had to take time to deep breath and get my words out. We agreed to him saying this prior to me testifying would take the idea of me lying off the table. A stammer or stutter makes this appear to the jury as if I’m lying. I wasn’t ashamed if someone made fun of me. Honestly, fuck them. No one steps into our shoes. I had to do 6 hours of testimony over 2 days. My lawyer told me that too
