I agree with everyone else’s comments and want to reiterate to make sure your SLP knows how to treat stuttering. All SLPs are trained in grad school to treat stuttering but it’s a low incidence disorder so doesn’t come up often. I have been practicing for 3 years (in the schools) and haven’t had one child who stutters yet. Some private practice SLPs specialize in different areas so I recommend that.
