Does my "condition" count as a stammer/stutter? Backstory: 20M, majoring in dentistry and I don't really clasify myself as socially awkward nor do I have social anxiety. I rarely stutter (as in blocking and repeating the first few letters of words), my problem is that I speak wayyyyy to quick like 50% of the time and that causes me having to repeat myself because I wasn't clear enough the first time around, note that this only happens when I meet new people/teachers etc, barely happens when I'm e.g. with friends. It gets pretty annoying to the point that I genuinely dislike meeting certain kind of people because I know what they'll ask of me. I've tried several "tricks" such as counting to 3 in my head before asking or responding to something but I never seem to actually do any of the tricks in the heat of the moment. Long story short; does anyone have experienced anything of this sort or does anyone have some more knowledge about any kind of solution that might work for me? I'm all ears. I just want to learn to always speak slower and much more clearly so that I don't have to repeat myself anytime a sentence comes out of my mouth. Thanks <3
