i can align with most of that. not that our stutters are the same, but there's such a huge overlap in the experience of most stutterers, i think. \- i actually came to remember a school teacher of mine who used to say that i just needed to calm down, when i was stumbling my way through reading something out loud. it was before the internet got big, but still, they ought to have access to material on stuttering back then. - but there is that one thing you mention about being antisocial, though... i dislike the idea of us having to keep to ourselves because it's much easier... sure, probably everyone can recognize that feeling of wanting to be alone from time to time, but if it's on a regular basis, i'd say that's a problem that needs a solution, not a solution to avoid a problem. if we don't engage in social activites, we'll never set ourselves at stake. and doing that is important to achieve stuttering successes, however rare, yeah?
