By background: I'm a 17 year old who has has stuttered my whole life. I'm a senior and a varsity debate team member. I've always been in some form of speech therapy. Currently, I attend a local university's speech clinic where I work with graduate students in the Speech Language Pathology program. I've always felt I do better reading from paper than I do just speaking. In debate, I do better reading my constructive than I do in my summery and during cross-examination. Try reading faster, that seems to help me. Also, try to not get to worked up before it's your turn to read. I know this is hard, but just takes deep breathes and relax. And if you stutter, who the fuck cares? If anyone says anything or laughs, they're obviously not mature enough to have an opinion that matters.
