well those doctors can F off. I dont know what speech therapy is like in the UK but how can speech therapists not help you out with blocks? they are the most common form of disfluency in stammerers. Are you sure the speech therapists you saw were specifically trained to work with stammerers, because speech pathology is actually a broad field. Keep looking, I know there are good therapists there who know what they're doing and can have seen this before.
