There's no cures. There's different treatments that work depending on the type of person. Personally, my cure is to reduce my social anxiety and that's by going out and talking to people. Gaining confidence. Do more of what I don't like doing. I'm a mild stutterer so its noticeable but doesn't impede me too much. This past week I traveled alone all over Europe. Stayed at hostels. I went out and about, and had hour long conversations in the hostel lobbies with other travelers. Met tons of people and I have plenty of new friends. Guess what. Nobody fucking cared that I stuttered and in fact its made my stutter better. I'm introducing myself, saying my name, talking to girls (shit I made out with one just last night), and making new friends. All shit I avoid doing. I talked to people from England, some other Americans, Canadians, French, what not. So my "cure" is doing more of what I avoid doing. I made a post about this a few weeks ago. Stop your avoidance behavior. Put yourself out there. It was very controversial among this community, because we have some real pussies here, but thats what works for me.
