Keep putting yourself in situations in which you think you will stutter in and sooner or later you will find yourself becoming slightly fluent. This fluency will increase the more you believe in yourself and the better you feel about yourself in general. Self esteem is a big factor in stuttering so make sure you think positively and go into confronting situations without feeling anxious (even I still am anxious but more about the thought of talking to someone rather than when I actually start talking which always goes well). The more you do this the better you will become at speaking. Most importantly, don't give a shit about what your family thinks about your stutter. Work on it yourself, use it as a time to improve yourself because once you overcome it or at least reduce it dramatically, it's easy to conquer anything. Best of luck and make sure you never give up because I'll be honest, I love to talk to people and be confident and it never would have happened if I didn't attempt to overcome my stutter.
