I'm glad to see that others have had the same reservations. And I've gotten a ton of mixed responses from people who stutter (via Reddit and Facebook). But I like the exercise you recommended! I'll have to mention it to some of my peers as a way to better understand how the process of changing words might work. Also, it's awesome that you're encouraging your son to say the words he originally intended to say!
