Went to a regular therapist this is what I've learned after only 1 session Hello,I'm 15M and just went to a regular therapist (not speech therapist), she used to stutter her self and severely now she was 90% fluent and she gave me some good advice. A lot of it is really personal but she gave some general advice, it isn't anything like tricks or something just ways to be less anxious and when you're less anxious you stutter less. 1st tip) when stressed put your hand on your belly and breath in and out deeply BUT talk to yourself What you're doing exmp. The air goes through my nose and...This way you won't focus on the negative thoughts only breathing, you will still stutter but this keeps you calm and makes you feel like you're in control of your body and thoughts 2tip) you don't have to accept stuttering bcs that's impossible but know that it's a part of you whether you like it or not, a small part in a puzzle piece and that the more you fight it the worse it gets so you gotta get to the point where of there was a pill to stop stuttering you'd at least think about for a second that you'll throw a little part of your personality away. The rest of things she said i can't really mention since it's personal but im feeling confident that eventually my stutter won't hold me back anything to the point where it slowly lessens over time.
