I'm a soldier so I'm put into public speaking situations often. But the more I'm put into these situations the more desensitized I get and the better I can speak. Anyways I was giving out a PowerPoint lecture teaching my fellow peers about leadership skills and basic soldiering stuff. Holy shit I wanted to die because it was bad from the beginning. I was so Damn red and sweaty the whole entire time, stuttering g over every other word. I've learned from that experience though. Now I know to rehearse everything, know the subject matter at hand instead of trying to read it off the board, and just calm the fuck down. Or while marching. When I was in junior rotc in high school I could not give any commands to the platoons when I marched them and performed drill and ceremony. Now I can give them with little to no stuttering and even call out cadences. I truly owe the Army greatly for improving my stutter and it's the primary reason of why I joined.
