awesome, congrats! your advisor obviously thinks you are awesome and is proud of you since they are asking for you to present your work in front of all these people. i'm a research scientist, and i've had to present my research so much in a variety of venues, all throughout my college degree, phd, and post-doc. it's funny, i got into science so i wouldn't have to communicate and the truth is you have to show people what you are doing a ton, it's actually probably not the best job if you don't want to talk. i've stuttered super badly and given terrible talks, and i've done ones almost fluently when i practiced my butt off. it didn't really matter, it wasn't like i got put in jail or people laughed me off the stage if i stuttered a bunch, they just thought i was nervous (which was true but there was more going on, you know?). for smaller presentations, i don't really care and i just want to say exactly what i can even if i sound as weird as possible with all the blocks and everything. for really important talks, i practice A TON -- i'm meaning two hours a day, knowing exactly what i want to say at each slide, the words that could give me trouble, i stumble through the talks with people i trust, and then i'm polished as can be and go on auto-pilot during the talk and it's actually kind of fun. GOOD LUCK! Let us know how it goes, it will be a lot of fun! :-D
