Lots of experiences as a child but worst was as an adult when a co-worker who I thought was my friend made fun of me stuttering in the middle of the office and everyone busted out laughing. Hurt my feelings so much that I was on the verge of tears. This was about 15 years ago when I was still very self-conscious about my stutter. Still lots of awkwardness, though. Usually when we are joking around at work. I pitch in my part and get completely hung up on some words. Complete conversation killer. Lol. I am 45 and it took me most of my life to find the humor in situations such as that. I think I am mortified mostly by the visual of my mouth as I struggle to get out a word. I imagine it is not attractive.
