I agree with this wholeheartedly. Recently a patient I had a strokelike symptoms (ct ruled negative) was experiencing receptive aphasia. He could not say what he wanted to say and his speech was severely slurred. He managed to tell his wife that someone was making fun of the way he spoke. I flew off the rails pinpointing who it could have been. (I’m a nurse with a stutter and do not tolerate any bullying/making fun of of any kind.) We must stand up for one another and show a little compassion and kindness in this brutal brutal world.
