I had similar experiences applying for summer jobs and internships, but I did notice the interviews tended to go better if I liked the job. I graduated a year and a half ago without having the time to conduct a full job search, so I only applied for my top choice company- and I got it! Despite several rounds of phone interviews, on-site interviews, and a presentation. I stuttered plenty but I was always super motivated to keep my cool and keep going. I wanted the job much more than I wanted a break from speaking. My advice to you is try to set your sights on a job you'd actually want to have. Your stutter might even guide you towards it.
