A lot of extracurriculars and clubs in college are BS and not well organized. They won't affect your grades, which are the only things that matter. You're fine just staying a top of all your studies, especially all assignments and exams. Try to participate in the actual class discussions, even if you stutter for multiple minutes to answer. The stupid ice breakers don't matter but the actual subject material does.
