From what I have learned about Tourette’s syndrome...no. Stuttering doesn’t involve a strong compulsion to make movements or sounds...stuttering is more a passive experience, at least for me. I try to talk...and the stuttering jumps in the way. From how I’ve heard people who have Tourette’s describe their experience...they say it feels like an extremely strong compulsion to move some way or make some sound, so strong that to hold it back is almost painful. That doesn’t sound anything like my experience as a stutterer.
