Social worker here. I used to really struggle on the phone, whereas face to face wasn’t too bad. When I shared an office, I would often try to find another space to make calls without others around. I’d take a few minutes to chill out, breathe, etc. I still do that now with all the Zoom meetings I have to do. I also like to have notes/bullet points prepared as my brain gets a bit fuzzy when I’m nervous. Lastly, I got a lot better with practice. For me, the more I do something, the less anxious I get. Some of those Zoom calls still kick my butt though, I guess some things never change
