I have trouble with vowels, they cause me to instantly block. What I have to do is make a sound. Get in any sound. This is scary because with vowels especially, it can sound really ugly and uncontrolled. But I just try to keep my throat/muscles from getting too tight and just trying to articulate the noise of the vowel to get me started.
