I'm married now, and I know it's harder than it sounds, but I was never subconscious going on dates because I believed that the "right' person wouldn't care. If this girl does, that's that. As you said, there will be others because you've already had some LTRs. If you are a funny, charming person, you are a funny, charming person. In fact, sometimes stuttering gets people's attention. It's a conversation piece. "When did you first start stuttering?" "Do you always stutter?" Etc etc. Don't ever neglect something you want to do just because you take longer to say something than other people. I've certainly refrained from saying things due to nervousness, but I've always tried to ignore the fear if it's impeding on a moment. I would urge you to view your stuttering as part of the reason you are who you are. For instance, I became a writer in large part due to my speech impediment. Like you, I'm also funny and charming, and I think it's because I began to "overcompensate." We stand out. It's nothing to be ashamed of. And although it's cliche, getting out does help depression.
