Thanks for posting this. This is a very odd situation indeed. I'd like to also encourage /r/stutter to support this petition. It will only be stronger for PWS to sign on. I've signed on and left my credentials as a speech pathologist, but you can sign as a PWS, a parent, spouse, whatever. The point is that the Australian government has taken a step for which there is no empirical support. We don't know that Lidcombe works for everyone, and therefore to restrict the services available does not make a lot of sense. as a side note: > or a certain surgical procedure being the ONLY one allowed for a heart condition. that's the same analogy I mentioned when talking to my advisor, lol
