Dude don't give up! I thought the same thing a few years ago! Then, one day I just decided being shy sucked. Still stuttered, but got myself out there. Then one day of playing hacky sack on the quad she came over to me and began talking about learning to play. 3 and a half years later, we are living together, engaged, and looking into a house. Trust me, I know it sucks donkey dick, but just be yourself. Embrace your stutter. People will always be ass holes, but so many people don't give a fuck. You will find someone who doesn't give a fuck, and you will be the happiest you have ever been.
