It's hard to admit we're doing our best

It's hard to admit we're doing our best The thing is: In my opinion, for most people who stutter, the problem is often how to work smarter, not how to work harder. When PWS try harder they frequently remain inside the error-avoidance domain — so their extra effort simply engages in error-avoidance responses towards fluency. It's like repeatedly punching a wall and then only putting bandages on the hand. We don't actually resolve the unique approach-avoidance conflict to execute speech
