When I played a lot of tennis, I made an interesting observation about triggers. If someone serves in the top of the net, it makes a special sound. This sound can be heard some courts away if it is a strong serve. What is interesting is that if one serves in the top of the net and another player just tossed up the ball to serve, he will in general serve in the top of the net. The sound triggers the wrong movement and muscle tension needed for a perfect serve. With stuttering is it not as easy to find a special sound or something that triggers you. It is probably both a mixture of triggers, such as who you are talking to, previous communications, surroundings, how you feel about him/her etc. I belive that these triggers are internal, because the external ones you can't do much about :P I find it that some people are way easier to talk to, it is usually easier if I can connect with them. (This is not a whole truth for stuttering, but it could be helpful for you as well to see stuttering this way) I'm writing this because I want you to become an expert in relaxing your body and recognize triggers. You want to be able to relax and feel your muscle tensions in order to observe what happens to you when you try to initiate speaking. Hope it helps, or atleast gets your mind going a little bit =) Good luck
