Well, it depends on how bad it is and how well you take it. For me it was quite bad, basically stuttering was causing stress, strong anxiety and embarassment in almost every speaking situation I got. Besides that, it also lowered my grades, because I refused to presentate or read, or discuss anything in my class. I would rather have a bad grade than embarrass myself in front of my classmates. When I turned 14 I moved from Latvia (my home country) to Norway. Stuttering eliminated any chance for me to get new friends for about 2 years. Basically for 2 years I went in the same class, and I almost didn't know anything about my classmates nor they knew anything about me. I was the quiet/awkward kid, but that wasn't really me. Almost every day at school I was really stressfull and scared, that again decreased my school performance and led to bad grades. It was really, really depressing ;( At least I didn't get bullied. Can you imagine a kid with all these problems and being bullied on top of it? Basically stuttering is a HUGE moral pain in the ass, yup, that pretty much sums it.
