I would also ask her how long she has been an SLP? Is stuttering what she solely does in her practice. Keep in mind that stuttering is only one avenue on being an SLP. If it were me OP, I would seek out an SLP that only does Stuttering. Also, check out the National Stuttering Association's website to help you with tips on finding an SLP that you should look for in an SLP. Ironically, a lot of SLPs are stutters as well.
