I seem to have to clear this up a lot on here. But if you stutter more, and avoid less around a person, it's because you're more comfortable with said person. You can make people think you're fluent, but that's hard and there's always situations where you get caught out. I guess a general thing I can say is don't try hide your stutter as in reality the more you avoid and the more tricks you use the worse your stutter will get and the more you'll have to avoid, as these actions become engraved in your mind.
