I have a sevre stutter and i have had a speech easy for years. I'm on my phone so I'll keep my reaponse brief but ask me any questions and I'll respond later. I have the one that looks like a hearing aid. All it does is plays back my voice a millisecond or two slower than my rate of speech, forcing me to slow down and match my speed with the slower speeds. Im sure you can see the benefit of this. It is a great device, but only in certain situations. Its great to use just around my house, having a conversation with just a friend or two, or using it over the phone. It picks up lots of outside noise though, so using it in a noisy environment can be very annoying, and not at all helpful. Its a great device, but is in no way a cure for your stutter, and i recommend you not to think of it this way. Think if as jut another took you have to use along with your skills, so if you dont mind forkin out the ridiculous amount it is for a mere tool, have at it, but like i said it isn't the be all end of all of fluency control.
