I am 24 and have stuttered my whole life. Here is how I choose to look at it now: For everyone else, speaking comes easily, but not for me. No. I have to be stronger than everyone else because I have more to overcome. Because of what I've been though, I see myself as a stronger person in that regard than someone who has never struggled with speaking. Don't look at your stutter as a handicap holding you back, look at it as just another weight on the bench press bar of life that nobody else has. Yeah, it makes it harder, but that's how we grow. You can choose to either let it crush you, or choose to use it and overcome it. Eventually you will be stronger than everybody else because you overcame more. Keep your head up, like someone else said in this thread, the older you get the less you care. Don't let it hold you back.
