It sounds like you managed well in a difficult situation. It’s so frustrating that some people feel we just aren’t trying hard enough! It might be worth revisiting this with your manager and telling them that it’s not appropriate. They wouldn’t be asking someone with a physical disability to find ways to fix themselves would they?
