Sharing the frustration. I haven't always had a stutter. It started at age 16, during the summer. I'm 28 now and it got worse over the past 10 years. Sometimes it was gone for months or years. But since a year it's there. Sometimes I have a good day or week but at random points a start to repeat or just can't even get a single word out of my mouth because it feels like im physically not able to speak. I've been in the army for a few years and at some point I couldn't get on the radio because I wasn't able to talk. (pearl harbor scene). At my current job I'm also talking a lot. I'm starting to make weird sentences en use alternative words. Als starting to get this habit of looking up and rubbing my left eye. Socially I'm either there or I'm hiding. What can I do to figure out what or why? Doctor? Just accept it? Glad I found this place.
