I'm from The Netherlands and law school (eduction system) works differenty than the USA one. Law school in NL is a three year bachelor followed by a one year master. In the master year you specialize yourself in a certain area of law. After finishing the master you get the title Master of Law. That title alone is not enough to become a lawyer, judge, district attorney or notary. You can become one those professions by applying at a post master law school. For example become a lawyer you need to graduate from that and at the same time you need to find a lawyer who is willing to become your mentor. Under his wings you work as apprentice lawyer. Only after graduating from that you can become a lawyer. The other professions have stricter requirements. We don't have a something equivalent to a Bar exam in The Netherlands.
