I think a one on one type meeting will help you IN ADDITION to the group meetings. You are incorrect in assuming other people think you have autism. You have no idea how people see you. You don't know their journey either or what they've been through. This is unfair assumption. I hope you don't mind, but you also seem like you are in a state of despair. Please make sure to exercise every day, eat right, and get your 8 hours of sleep. If there is still a feeling of unbearable sadness, you need to explore medication with your doctor. You don't need to go through life feeling bummed out. There are times when all of us struggle - death of a loved one or trauma. Medication is there for us to get us through this period. It also sometimes just is the luck of the draw. I have several friends with pretty serious mental illness. They are ALL on medication to help them. It's a life saver for all of us when diet, sleep, and exercise isn't cutting it.
