Doing a public speaking class with a stutter.

Doing a public speaking class with a stutter. I'm doing a college public speaking class because I need it for my career, way down the road. However, we had to do our first speech today, and it was such a gigantic embarrassment for me that I'm considering just quitting the class. The instructor knows I stutter, but part of the curriculum says that I have to watch the video of my speech and critique it. However, watching that video just made me realize that I looked even more like an idiot than I thought I did. Please, does anyone have any tips for doing public speaking with a stutter? The first ever speech I did (before this course) was actually about my stutter, and I remember being more fluent with that, so I have no idea why it's so bad during speeches all of the sudden. I just don't know what to do.
