They don't reduce stuttering, they just reduce the anxiety that can exacerbate it. But I mean... of course being on Xanax helps reduce my disfluency. It also reduces my ability to function as anything other than a puddle of gelatin, so it's not ultimately helpful for that purpose. I want to reduce my stuttering mostly for professional/formal settings where being stoned out of my mind wouldn't really be socially acceptable.
