Advice needed I’ve been stuttering for as long as i remember, i’ve tried speech therapy countless times but it just didn’t work. I’m 17 now and i’ve read that the longer the stutter stays the less likely it’ll stop. I started university this year and they require alot of presentations, at school i didn’t really mind because it was once or twice a year and with people who have been with me since we were all children so they already knew about it. Now at uni there are completely new people who i’m trying to give a good first impression. While maturing i started to accept the stutter and learned to deal with it but it feels that there js something i could do to help. The thing is when i’m not focusing on my stutter, i talk perfectly fine ! Which never used to happen. I only stutter when i focus on it or think “oh no i hate this word, i’m gonna stutter” other than that while i’m focusing on a game or talking alone or with someone i’m really comfortable with, i barely stutter. That makes me think it’s not something physical anymore, it’s in my head. Atleast that’s what i started thinking. Any tips or advices ? Thanks for reading till the end !
